OnePlus 15 will soon release in the U.S. after government go ahead
The OnePlus 15 is now available for pre-order in the U.S. after passing its FCC certification, with shipping set for late December.
The OnePlus 15 will soon be on its way to the U.S. following the government shut down, as reports indicate it has recently gained its FCC certification. Despite the smartphone having been announced in mid-November and availability running smoothly for other international markets, its U.S. launch has been delayed due to government entities not being in session.
The OnePlus 15 first launched in China on October 27 and to other international markets on November 13. The brand hosted its launch event in New York City; however, the government shutdown, which took place from October 1 to November 12 prevented the Federal Communication Commission from issuing a certification certificate for the U.S. version of the OnePlus 15 ahead of its November release date.
The brand has now announced pre-order availability for the OnePlus 15 as of Thursday, with a host of exclusive perks for those who sign up to purchase the device ahead of its official launch date in the U.S. These include a free gift valued up to $300, such as the 43mm OnePlus Watch 3, the OnePlus Buds Pro 3, the OnePlus AirVOOC 50W magnetic charger, and select OnePlus 15 cases, a 5% student discount, up to 30% off a bundle of accessories, and up to $899 off the value of the OnePlus 15 with an eligible trade in device. Shipping of the device is scheduled for later December.
The OnePlus 15 features a 6.78-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 1,800-nit brightness, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, 12GB and 16GB RAM options, and 256GB and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage options, and a 7,300mAh battery with 120W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging. It runs Android 16 with an OxygenOS 16 overlay. Its triple rear camera system includes a 50-megapixel main with OIS, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens. The front camera is a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
Color options include Infinite Black, Ultra Violet, and Sand Storm. Pricing for the OnePlus 15 starts at $899.99.
