Pixel 11 leaks tease colors and price for series weeks before launch
Get ready for a pricey Pixel if these leaks are to be believed. At least they’re pretty.
The weeks until the Pixel series launch are counting down quickly, and more details about the upcoming devices are being revealed ahead of time. A recent leak, in the form of now-deleted Amazon listings, showcased color and price options for the slate form Pixel 11 smartphones as well as the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, highlighting more unique color schemes for the devices.
Google is known for its more vibrant colors in the Pixel line, and the 11 series is no different. The color options revealed in the leak include Front (soft purple), Obsidian (black), Hibiscus (bright pink), and Pistachio (camo green). Reports note that there have been other names associated with the colors of this Pixel 11 model, 4CS4, including Midnight, Fuchsia, and Moss; however, it is possible one or both sets of names are internal nicknames for the device colors.
The names leaked for the Pixel 11 Pro include Dune, Light Fog, Pine, and Sterling, while the Pixel 11 Pro Fold colors include Obsidian and Olive.
The leak, which was shared by Android Authority, included price and specification details for the upcoming devices. It is expected that Google will increase the base model storage of the Pixel line from 128GB to 256GB. This change is expected to come with a price increase due to the memory shortages in the industry. The leaked price details also reflect this, with the Pixel 11 base model listing revealing an $899 price for a 256GB model. Leaks from DroidLife showcased the price for a higher 512GB option starting at $1,019. Notably, the RAM options for both models are 12GB.
The publication shared further price details of the other devices in the 11 series, indicating that the Pixel 11 Pro may be available in two 12GB and 16GB RAM options, with the 256GB option having 12GB RAM and the 512GB and 1TB options having 16GB RAM. Its pricing may be set at $1,099 for the 256GB model, $1219 for the 512GB model, and $1449 for the 1TB model.
The Pixel 11 Pro XL will have the same RAM configuration and will be priced at $1,299 for the 256GB model, $1419 for the 512GB model, and $1649 for the 1TB model.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold will be priced at $1,899 for the 256GB model and $2,019 for the 512GB model. There is also a possible 16GB/1TB model, which would be priced at $2,249.
The Pixel series launch event will take place on August 12 at 6 p.m. in New York City. Despite all of the details currently circulating, no information about the devices can yet be confirmed.
