Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 leak reveals accessory details for the wide-display foldable
Samsung's new foldable design is set to compete with the upcoming iPhone foldable
Leaks of Samsung’s upcoming foldables are surfacing regularly as the devices are approximately one month away from being announced. Recent leaks sourced by Android Headlines showcase the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy Z Flip 8, as well as a host of protective cases in different colors that will accompany the devices.
The leaked renders show accessories for the devices, including cases with a carbon fiber design and a kickstand, and designs of cute animal characters.

Several cases are outfitted with magnetic rings, which suggest they may include Qi2 wireless charging support. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 launched as the Wireless Power Consortium enabled widespread universal wireless charging compatibility for Android devices. However, the model got that feature through its accessories rather than directly into the phone. It remains to be seen how Samsung will implement wireless charging on future devices.
Ongoing reports suggest the foldable series will include the Galaxy Z Fold 8, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and the Galaxy Z Flip 8. Additionally, the Galaxy Z Fold 8, previously referred to as the Galaxy Z Fold Wide, is expected to get a design revamp to have a shorter and wider display size, with a 4:3 aspect ratio. This model is expected to be Samsung’s direct competition for the upcoming introductory foldable iPhone.
Another recent leak sourced by @UniverseIce compares the approximate size of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Already leaked specifications for the device suggest it will include a 5.4-inch cover display and a 7.6-inch inner display, both with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip,12GB of RAM, up to 1TB storage, a 50-megapixel main and 50-megapixel ultra-wide rear camera setup with a 10-megapixel front camera, a 4,800mAh battery with 45W wired and 25W wireless charging, and Android 17 with One UI 9.0 software.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra may be fashioned after the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in terms of display and aspect ratio. Android Headlines noted that Samsung impressed the industry and consumers last year with the ultra-slim design of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which featured a 6.5-inch cover display and an 8-inch inner display with a 21:9 aspect ratio. It has a thickness of just 8.9mm folded and 4.2mm unfolded. The smartphone manufacturer could be opting to make the taller and thinner design a super-premium feature for foldables moving forward as a way to regulate product prices. The industry has already seen companies use similar strategies with the Z Flip line, which is smaller, more compact, and less expensive.
