Samsung's latest Odyssey monitors include the best high-end specs of 2025
Samsung's new Odyssey monitors are here! The OLED G6 has a 500Hz refresh rate, while the curved G7 offers 4K ultrawide gaming.
Samsung has announced that new options in its Odyssey monitor series will be making their way to the U.S. market with affordable price points. The 2025 Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF) and Odyssey G7 (G75F) monitors will be available to consumers after being originally introduced in January. Each model brings unique features to Samsung’s product lineup and the display industry at large. Here’s what you need to know about the new Odyssey monitors.
Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF), 27"
The 2025 Odyssey OLED G6 is a 27-inch QHD QD-OLED gaming monitor with a 500 Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, G-Sync compatibility, and a slim metal design. The 500 Hz QHD resolution is the highlight feature of this monitor, as a high refresh rate is a desirable aspect for gamers, who desire smooth visuals, minimal motion blur, and maximum responsiveness from peripherals. Having been announced at CES in January, the 500Hz refresh rate is also an industry-first feature.
To add to its playback quality, the Odyssey OLED G6 supports 1000 nits peak brightness, as well as a VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 for deeper black contrasts, and a glare-free technology that reduces reflections on the screen by 54 percent.
The display features a Dynamic Cooling System, which allows it to regulate the core temperature and protect the screen from burn-in occurrences. Repair for burn-ins is also included within the three-year warranty. The monitor also includes a Logo and Taskbar Detection feature that deters distractions. Its Screen Saver dims the screen after 10 minutes of being idle.
Connectivity on the Odyssey OLED G6 includes two USB-A ports, two HDMI ports, an Ethernet port, a DP port, and an audio jack.
The Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 available for purchase at Samsung.com for $999.99.
Samsung Odyssey G7 (G75F), 40"
The 2025 Odyssey G7 is a 40-inch Ultrawide 4K 1000R curved gaming monitor with a 180Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and a 21:9 aspect ratio. The monitor is also available in a 37-inch model with a 165Hz refresh rate and 16:9 aspect ratio. Samsung said the options are intended to fit between the brand’s 34-inch and 49-inch form factors. They should play to gamers who may not get the most out of a 49-inch monitor, but they will be a nice in-between, the company added.
The 40-inch model in particular includes DisplayHDR 600 for improved black and white contrast, in addition to CoreSync technology, enabling 16.7 million color vibrancy, and FreeSync Premium Pro, supporting variable refresh rate. Other features include Picture-by-Picture and Auto Source Switch+, which senses when devices connected to the monitor are turned on and automatically switches to the proper source signal.
Connectivity on the Odyssey G7 includes two USB-A ports, an Ethernet port, an audio jack, two HDMI ports, a DP port, and a Power port.
The Samsung Odyssey G7 40-inch is is available for purchase at Samsung.com for $1199.99, the 37-inch is available for $899.99.
